About

Welcome!

After nearly 20 years within the IT field — for the most part, chronicled here within my blog, and later podcast — in October of 2007 I made the move over to our User Education department as a Learning Technologies Specialist. A large part of that role is keeping up on all the new technologies out there and where they can be utilized in the space of user education — for both instructor-led courses as well as e-Learning endeavors.

Along with the duties of staying up with technology, I am also responsible for the bulk of our audio efforts for anything that goes out our doors in electronic format — podcasts, e-Learning modules, etc. And along the way, I also get to produce e-Learning modules.

Along with career-related stuff, I like to blog family stuff and just about anything that moves me, but especially one of my favorite hobbies — amateur photography. Originally I kept my photography and elearning blog separate from the main blog here, but I just recently decided to consolidate them all in to a single blog to make it easier to update. While your checking things out here, feel free to also check out my photo stream over on Flickr.

Sound to MountainsThe photograph used within the header portion of the blog is one I took in the summer of 2007 from Edmonds, Washington.
