Yeah… we’re on a bi-weekly schedule for the time being. George and I chit-chat a bit more about Wireless Broadband technologies including listener feedback on some of their experiences with multi-user router usage and the different Terms of Service from the different players. More stuff on VMWare and more network monitoring tools, a few resources regarding multi-homed machines, and an NTBackup Restore Utility now available for Vista.
And don’t forget… The change for DST in the US and Canada is coming in like 5 weeks… are you ready?
Enjoy!

Hi,
I have been listening to your podcast for a while, and I enjoy the content very much. Thanks for the great content. I have a couple of points with a couple of topics from your last podcast.
Education, 4yr. degree vs. 2yr. degree?
I have no degree and I have secured a decent position for an ivy league university. I am not a sysadmin, but I am not help desk either, I sit in the middle. A degree only shows that you completed something, it is no indication of intelligence. The fact that some jobs won’t hire without a degree is a clear sign you would not want to work there any way.
Attitudes & the help desk guy.
I can emphathize with the fellow in question. Although, I am not bitter about it, I can understand. I am so locked down where I work, that I have no choice but to circumvent network policies in order to get my job done. Sysadmins don’t how hard of a job you may have, just don’t call them. A little bit of discussion and collaboration would go a long way in understanding jobs requirements. until then, they get the mushroom treatment.
Keep up the great podcasts! Take care…

While you mention the Kyocera KR1 router, I see no mention of the Linksys WRT54G3G-ST EVDO Router. There is a thorough review by the EVDO experts at http://www.evdoinfo.com here:
